Tata Nano Exterior
Tata Nano is a unique vehicle. It’s a car that debuted more than a decade ago as India’s most cheap four-wheeled offering but has had a lukewarm reception to say the least. Ratan Tata’s aim of delivering a one-lakh-rupee car to the globe quickly turned into a lesson in marketing blunders.
The GenX Nano, which debuted in 2015, receives a new face, an automatic transmission, and, most importantly, a new look. However, it retains its classic shape. We like the Nano’s Grinning face with the new smiley-shaped bumper. The same smiling bumper, albeit functional, seems out of place towards the back.
Tata Nano Interior
The Nano GenY’s dashboard is similar to that of the Nano Twist. It has multiple colour options for different trims and looks far superior to the previous model. The center console is now completed in black, and the bright silver is no longer there.
The orange-lit instrument console in the centre remains, housing a MID with clock, distance to empty counter, instant fuel economy bar, and two average fuel economy bars. In addition, the unit receives a ‘low fuel’ alert. The steering wheel (without the piano black accents and audio buttons) is comfortable to grasp and was borrowed from Zest and Bolt, the elder siblings (smaller of course.) Air conditioning is wonderful and works flawlessly even during high heat months.
Tata Nano Engine & Transmission
Tata Motors has used the same little displacement 624cc petrol engine in the Nano GenX model that was used in the previous model to generate power. The petrol engine produces a maximum power of 38 PS at 5500 +/- 250 RPM and a maximum torque of 51 Nm at 4000 +/- RPM. Transmission options for the Tata Nano GenX include a four-speed manual tranny and a five-speed automatic manual transmission. The automatic manual transmission has a sports mode option as well as a creep feature.
Tata Nano Mileage
The manual Tata Nano GenX variant has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.3 kms per litre, which is significantly higher than the automated manual transmission version’s 21.9 kmpl. Performance and handling: The top speed of the Tata Nano is roughly 105 kmph, which is not particularly outstanding when compared to rivals. The manual variant has considerably superior handling; the AMT gearbox is not as easy to drive as the manual tranny, but things improve when you switch to sports mode.

Tata Nano Performance and Handling
The Nano has just enough power to be a pleasant small car to drive around town. The engine is lively and keeps the driver occupied. The car is also comfortable at triple digit highway speeds, but we anticipate that the ordinary consumer will use it largely for city driving.
The suspension does a good job of isolating the cabin from potholes and undulations while remaining comfortable. The Nano remains quiet and composed on bumpy surfaces, providing a comfortable ride on the majority of them. The NVH levels are also nicely managed, albeit at low revs the car does vibrate slightly due to its natural frequency. Increase the gear or keep high rpm to significantly reduce NVH. The steering is slightly lighter than before, which was greatly needed.
Tata Nano Braking and Safety
The braking system consists of drum brakes at the front and rear, skipping the pivotal braking equipment’s including anti-lock braking, electronic brakeforce distribution, and brake assist. The carmaker has equipped only a few secondary safety features for the occupants’ safety and security, such as central locking, which is only available in the XT and XTA trims. Other than that, the hatchback gets a central high mount stop lamp, booster assisted brakes, front and rear seat belts, additional body reinforcements, impact cushioning crumple zones, side intrusion beams, and hazard warning switch.
Tata Nano Specifications
The Tata Nano is a small, affordable car that is perfect for city commutes. It has a three-cylinder engine that produces 90 horsepower and a 0-60mph time of 8 seconds. It’s also equipped with air conditioning, power windows/locks/mirrors, and alloy wheels. So if you’re looking for a car that is affordable, fuel-efficient, and stylish, the Tata Nano is the perfect option.

Reviews
The Tata Nano is an engineering marvel, an accomplishment recognized by the world’s best in the automobile industry. The car is comfortable, capacious, fuel efficient, and inexpensive, and it leaves little to be desired. The front seats feature an orange accent and are reasonably comfortable. Although their slim construction causes discomfort for tall rear occupants, as their knees may be felt at the back of front seats.
The rear seats are likewise comfortable, but only for short rides due to the relatively rigid posture and lack of support. One aspect of Nano that has always intrigued me is the amount of space available. Buyers frequently assume that Nano is crowded on the interior due to its small size. There’s enough leg, head, and shoulder room for at least four people, if not five. In addition, access and egress are simple.
Conclusions
The Tata Nano Car has captured the hearts of car enthusiasts all over the world and is currently the cheapest car on the market. Check out our blog for all the latest details on the Tata Nano Car price in India 2023, specifications, features, mileage and reviews. Stay up-to-date with the latest news and updates on this amazing car. The option of an open-able boot is another feature that makes the new Nano more practical.
It’s not a large boot and can only hold two small to medium-sized bags at most, but something is better than nothing,’ as the saying goes. In addition, folding the rear seat gives you the boot space of a full-sized sedan. The transmission has a 5-speed ratio, and the boot has a 94-liter capacity. Tata Nano comes standard with amenities like central locking, rear seat belts, child locks, etc., but not even an optional airbag. In terms of pricing, the Tata Nano has no direct competitors, yet it is put up against vehicles like the Maruti Alto, the Hyundai Eon, and the Datsun redi-Go, among others.
