JPSC Civil Services Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be Indian citizens.
• The candidate must have a degree from a recognized institution that is equivalent to or higher than graduation.
• To apply for the Jharkhand State Police Service and Jharkhand Product, a candidate must be at least 20 years old.
• To apply for the Jharkhand Finance Service and the Jharkhand Labor Service, a candidate must be at least 21 years old.
• Unreserved candidates should be 35 years old, BC-II/BC-I candidates should be 37 years old, female unreserved candidates should be 38 years old, and SC/ST candidates (both male and female) should be 40 years old.

JPSC Civil Services Recruitment 2024 Exam Pattern

Find below the JPSC 2024 Exam Pattern & Syllabus for Preliminary Exam, Main Exam & Interview:

Preliminary Exam Pattern:

There will be two multiple-choice, objective papers for the preliminary exam. Only screening tests are included in this examination. Candidates are selected for the Main Examination based on their scores on this test.

• Paper 1 will consist of 100 general knowledge questions worth 200 points.
• Paper 2 will have 100 questions each worth 200 points and cover general knowledge about Jharkhand.
• Each paper will be two hours long and contain multiple-choice questions of an objective type.
• The question paper, which will be printed in both English and Hindi, will be bilingual. There will be no negative marking.
• Only those who meet the requirements for the preliminary exam will advance to the main exam.

Mains Exam Pattern:

• This written test will have six papers with typical essay-type questions.
• The length of each paper will be three hours, and it will all be descriptive.
• There are six required papers on the main competitive exam.
• Other than the language papers, the question papers will only be available in English and Hindi.
• Your responses must be written in the chosen language script.
