About of IIFT
In 1963, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India established the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) as an independent organization to aid in the development of skills for India’s external trade sector. It has come a long way to become a unique institution that teaches international business and trade knowledge through research and education. In 2002, the Institute was given the status of “Deemed to be University.” In 2005 and 2015, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) designated IIFT as an “A” institution. Over the course of its history, IIFT has established itself as a national university with a focus on international business management and strategy. This focus is reflected in the Institute’s three main activities: Education, training, and research.
