Abhinandan Educational Loan Subsidy Scheme was launched to take care of the students of Assam who want to pursue higher education but are not able to get anything due to their financial condition. 50000 rupees will be provided to all those people who want to get an educational loan from banks for their higher education. This scheme was launched on 4th September 2020. Earlier also Rs 50000 was distributed among 1500 students by the Chief Minister of Assam State. Under this scheme, 5000 students have already got Rs 50000. This will be a very beneficial scheme for the students.

The main objective of starting the Abhinandan Educational Loan Subsidy Scheme is to help all those people who are not able to get higher education because they do not have enough money to apply to big colleges and schools. Eligibility Criteria Abhinandan Education Loan Apply Online

• Only permanent residents of the state of Assam can apply.
• The loan should be sanctioned by any scheduled commercial bank or regional rural bank within the state.
• There is no limit on the income of the family.
• The sanctioned loan amount should be at least Rs. 1 lakh and before 31st March of each year.
• For loans sanctioned after April 1, the subsidy will be given after the disbursement of 25% of the total loan amount.
• The loan claiming accounts should be of NPA status.
• Students availing loans under ‘Vidya Laxmi Yojana’ are not eligible to apply.

Not Eligible Beneficiary of Abhinandan Education Loan Scheme

• If the repayment of loan installments is due for a specific time period then you will not be able to apply for the scheme.
• All educational loans are declared as non-performing assets after a specific period of 90 days.
• Bidya Lakshmi Yojana was launched in 2017 by the Government of Assam.
• If you are one of the beneficiaries of this scheme then you will not be able to apply for Educational Loan Subsidy Scheme.
• Government employees can avail of educational loans of 5 to 10 lakhs through Vidya Laxmi Yojana.
