The oldest engineering institution in Andhra Pradesh is the University institution of Engineering (UCE), located within Osmania University in Hyderabad. 200 acres of land make up the campus. It was created in 1929, eleven years after Osmania University, and was the sixth engineering college to be established in British India. The college moved to its present permanent location in 1947. It is now the biggest campus college of Osmania University. As part of Osmania University in Hyderabad, the University College of Engineering celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1979, Diamond Jubilee in 1989, and Platinum Jubilee in 2004. The College received autonomy in 1994. The college came up at number 132 in the engineering category of the NIRF 2021 Ranking.
