Triumph Street Cup Price In India 2024 Launch Date, Features, Full Specification, Booking Process, Reviews

Triumph Street Cup- The Street Cup is equipped with a 900cc engine, which is expected to deliver 53bhp and 80Nm of torque. Like other models in the Bonneville street family, it will be paired with a five-speed gearbox. The Street Cup is scheduled to be launched in India at the beginning of next year and is likely to be priced around Rs.8 lakh. In the Indian market, it will be in direct competition with the Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle.

When Triumph introduced the Street Twin, they also introduced a range of accessories and special parts that allow customers to customize their bikes into café racers. With various subtle yet significant changes to the chassis, the Street Cup takes customization to another level, providing a riding experience that cannot be achieved through accessories alone. The seat and instrument console are sourced from the Thruxton model, as well as the headlight brackets.

Triumph Street Cup Price 2024

The Street Cup utilizes the liquid-cooled, 900cc parallel-twin engine from the Street Twin. It also shares the Street Twin’s chassis and a significant portion of its bodywork. The headlight cowl resembles that of the current air-cooled 865cc Thruxton, which may be replaced once the Street Cup is introduced, possibly in early 2022. From the image, it is apparent that the Street Cup will feature three brand new components – a new handlebar (not the clip-ons found on the 1200cc Thruxton), new upswept exhausts, and a front brake with a different caliper compared to the one used on the Street Twin.

The Street Cup is anticipated to be positioned as an entry-level café racer in Triumph Bonneville’s lineup and is expected to have a significantly lower price than the 1200cc Thruxton R. We anticipate that it will be priced slightly higher than the Street Twin. As for its potential launch in India, it is hard to determine at this moment since Triumph India plans to introduce the top-spec Thruxton R first in a few months. Depending on market response, it remains uncertain if there will be sufficient demand for a smaller and more affordable café racer in the Indian market.

Triumph Street Cup Features

The bike is equipped with the same liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that has a high torque and displaces around 900cc. This engine is also used in the Street Twin model. However, the Triumph Street Cup has new upswept exhaust mufflers. The engine is connected to a 5-speed transmission and produces 54.7PS of power and a peak torque of 80Nm. In addition to its unique appearance and handling geometry, the bike shares most of its parts with its sibling, the Street Twin, including the suspension set-up and brakes. It also features a twin-pod digital-analog instrument cluster, LED tail lamp, and an USB charging socket. The company has also included advanced electronic equipment such as Ride-by-Wire, ABS, switchable traction control, and a torque-assisted clutch. Furthermore, customers will have access to more than 120 optional accessories for the bike.

High-torque

The motorcycle is built on a 900cc, high-torque, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine that delivers a maximum power of 54 bhp and 80 Nm torque. This engine is specifically designed for providing an exhilarating experience on urban streets, winding roads, and highways. The exhaust system consists of twin upswept satin black and stainless steel silencers that have been optimized to create a captivating sound wherever you ride. Triumph has also incorporated rider-focused technologies and features such as Switchable traction control, ABS, and torque-assist clutch into this bike.

Design

If you direct your attention towards the Street Cup, it becomes apparent that the stylish appearance of the Thruxton café racer has been successfully transferred to it. The streamlined bullet tail unit, fly screen, lowered handlebars, and bar-end mirrors all contribute to giving the Street Cup a resemblance to a smaller version of the Thruxton. In my opinion, this is ideal as the Thruxton has been widely regarded as one of the most stunning motorcycles in recent times, and the Street Cup shares a similar level of excellence in its appearance.

Engine

The Street Cup is powered by the same 900cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, eight-valve parallel-twin ‘high-torque’ engine as the Street Twin. It produces 55hp and 59lb/ft of torque and features a new pair of satin black stainless steel exhausts that are exclusive to the Street Cup. These exhausts are shorter and wider than the ones on the Street Twin, and Triumph claims they are also lighter. However, what matters most is that they produce a fantastic sound with a rich, deep, wholesome burble when you open the throttle.

Brakes

In charge of reducing speed at the front is a recently introduced Nissin sliding caliper with two pistons, accompanied by a 310mm floating disc (which naturally includes ABS). This setup performs adequately, although it does not excel. When I initially applied significant force to the front brake, I immediately noticed the need to pull the lever harder. The brakes are satisfactory but lack a satisfactory level of sensitivity. To enhance braking power and potentially improve responsiveness, incorporating another disc and caliper on the opposite side of the front wheel or utilizing a single four-piston caliper would be simple solutions.

Triumph Street Cup Specification

The seat height of the Street Cup is 30.7 inches, an increase of 1.2 inches compared to the Street Twin. However, shorter riders should still find it easy to reach the ground with their feet flat due to the narrowness of the Bullet seat. Additionally, the seat is covered in a plush Alcantara fabric material, which is a blend of polyester and polyurethane, providing all-day comfort. The cushioning of the seat is just right, neither too hard nor too soft, and allows for easy movement during longer rides when certain body parts may start to go numb, such as my hip due to a rod in my femur.

Reviews

Simplicity can sometimes be the key. Triumph has successfully mastered this idea with their creation, the Street Cup. This motorcycle combines a visually appealing design, a powerful engine, and essential technological features to serve its purpose as a classic-sporty ride. It recognizes that not everyone requires intense performance, extreme comfort, or cutting-edge technology for a fun ride with friends. The Triumph Street Cup provides the necessary elements, but with an added touch of elegance. Its engine impresses both novice and experienced riders, while its flawless finishing effortlessly captivates attention. Additionally, its captivating soundtrack will have you wanting to listen to it on repeat.

Conclusion

The Triumph Street Cup is essentially the café racer version of the Street Twin, which itself is a modernized Bonneville T100. Upon initial inspection, the Street Cup immediately catches the eye with its impeccable finishing. The engine has a sleek appearance and the cables are discreetly concealed. Additionally, there are elegant details such as logos, pinstriping, and metal footpegs. The bike is available in two color combinations: a charming yellow-gray and a more subdued gray-black. In the United States, it can be purchased for $10,500, while in France it costs an equivalent amount in Euros. When I saw the test bike in person, I found that the metallic gray particularly shimmered beautifully, even though it may have initially seemed somewhat dull.
