Design and Looks

The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V’s fundamental design is identical to that of the existing two-valve model. However, there are some minor adjustments. One of the new bike’s features is a slightly lower headlamp. The design of the tank has also changed, but not significantly. The belly pan has been updated. A two-piece seat is also standard on the Pro model we have here.

Additionally, the front forks of the 4V are upside-down and finished in gold. We agree that the USDs are more for improving the motorcycle’s mechanical capabilities, but they still manage to give the 4V an even more sporty appearance than the regular model.

Features

Regarding features, the Xtreme 160R 4V hasn’t seen any alteration. You still only receive single-channel ABS and discs with one petal on either end. There are tubeless tyres, with a radial design on the back. The headlight, taillight, and turn indicators of the 4V are all made of LEDs. And the instrumentation is still entirely digital. However, there are three trim levels available for the 4V. As the name implies, the base is quite simple and does not have split seats or USD front forks. Then there is the Connected trim, which once more does not have the split-seat or USD forks but does include Hero’s 2.0 connection package as standard.

This Bluetooth-enabled gadget connects with an app on the smartphone via an e-sim to deliver accident-related alarms if the bike tips over. Additionally, it notifies the owner of any theft attempts or changes in location of the bike. It comes with turn-by-turn directions. and can assist you in calling for roadside assistance, scheduling a service, or finding a dealer. The connection suite, however, cannot be chosen as an add-on option for the Pro trim or the basic model. The top-of-the-line Pro trim is what we have here. Split seats, USD front forks, and rudimentary Bluetooth connectivity with call notifications are included with this version.

Riding Experience

The Xtreme 160R 4V has a brand-new engine! The new engine has a more square layout than the current 160R 2V because it has a larger bore and a shorter stroke. However, the two bikes have nearly identical engine capacities. Additionally, the head of the new engine is four-valved, whereas the head of the existing bike is two-valved.

The new engine’s recipe clearly points to a power unit that can rev more freely, breathes better, and is easier on the top end. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the new engine has nearly two more horsepower, but the difference in torque isn’t as big. However, at the end of the day, Hero is chasing the commuter. Traceability is also essential for commuters. The five-speed gearbox’s ratios have been completely revised to accomplish this, and they are now more closely stacked than on the 2V to restore some of the low- and mid-range grunt.

Top Speed

The Xtreme 160R 4V has a lively feel right away. It quickly reaches 80 kmph and then is content to cruise between 80 and 90 kmph without ever feeling sluggish or strained. Additionally, reaching 100 kph on the speedometer is not very difficult. Compared to the two-valve Xtreme, it unquestionably feels more lively. It did reach its peak speed at an indicated 115 kmph, but I weigh more than the average youthful commuter with lots of energy.

Regarding riding and handling, the motorbike continues to sport 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and a single downtube chassis. Additionally, the brakes have not been changed, and it continues to just have single-channel ABS.

Handling Experience

In terms of handling, the Xtreme remains a stable, responsive, predictable, and enjoyable bike to ride of comfort Handling experience. It leans into corners without trying. and then effortlessly skirts the final curve. It changes directions quickly and never seemed slick or jittery. It exudes a positive, assured, and balanced vibe.

On the other hand, the brakes might have been better. At the point when the bicycle is ridden gradually, these are compelling and give good feel and chomp. However, if you ride with a lot of enthusiasm, the brake fade will become very obvious very quickly. Additionally, the rider’s self-assurance is harmed as a result.

Price

In India, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V street bike has a starting price of Rs. 1,28,470. There are 3 models and 4 colours available, with the highest variant beginning at Rs. 1,37,670. The 163.2cc BS6 engine that powers the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V produces 16.6 horsepower and 14.6 Nm of torque.

Conclusion

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is definitely worth considering. This bike is designed with both performance and style in mind, making it an excellent choice for riders who want a bike that can handle any road conditions. During our road test review, we found that the Xtreme 160R 4V performed exceptionally well, with its powerful engine delivering impressive acceleration and top speed. The bike’s handling was also excellent, thanks to its responsive suspension system and sturdy frame. In addition to its performance capabilities, the Xtreme 160R 4V also boasts a sleek and modern design that is sure to turn heads.
