Our initial impressions of this performance SUV are that it is both fast and comfortable; however, it lacks the agility typically found in Lotus sports cars. On the other hand, the top-of-the-line R model delivers an impressive 905 horsepower, which we estimate can achieve a zero-to-60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds. This particular variant exhibits a more striking presence on the road but also displayed unsettling movements and jerks when we pushed the throttle pedal aggressively.

The Lotus Eletre is equipped with a 112 kWh battery pack and is available in two powertrain options. The first option includes a 611 PS/710 Nm electric motor, providing a claimed range of 600km according to WLTP standards. The second option features a more powerful 918 PS/985 Nm electric motor, offering a claimed range of 490km. The former can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, while the latter achieves the same feat in just 2.95 seconds. In terms of its features, the vehicle includes a 15.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital displays for both the driver and co-driver, and a high-quality KEF sound system with 15 speakers and an output of 1,380 W.
