About JEE Main

JEE Main, which stands for Joint Entrance Examination Main, is a national level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other top engineering colleges in India. The exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 is for those seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech courses, while Paper 2 is for those seeking admission to B.Arch/B.Plan courses. JEE Main is considered one of the most competitive exams in India, with lakhs of students appearing for it every year. Qualifying exam

  • Students should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam in 2021 or 2022.

  • Applicants appearing in the 12th class or equivalent qualifying exams in 2024 can also apply.

JEE Main age limit

  • There is no age restriction for the JEE Main 2024 exam. Any understudy who has gotten through the twelfth class or its comparable test in the year 2021 and 2022, or showing up in 2024 can apply for the selection test.

Total number of attempts

  • The JEE Main exam can be taken three times in a row by students. There will be two attempts at the entrance exam—in January and April.
