IIT JAM Application form- The application form for IIT JAM 2024 may be submitted through JAM Online Application Processing System . In the form, personal particulars details, eligibility degree details, JAM paper choice, exam cities choice, details of the valid identity document will be entered. Scanned photo copies of Students’ photograph, signature, PWD certificate (if applicable) and category certificate (if applicable) will also be uploaded in the form.

IIT JAM 2024 notification has been released by IIT Guwahati, the exam conducting every year. The application form of IIT JAM 2024 will be released on 7 September 2022, and the last date to submit the application form is 11 October 2022. The application form pay fee has increased this every year for each category. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based test mode on February 12 in two slot.

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria

• The Students need to passes  a bachelor’s degree from any recognized University.
• The candidates need to pass the qualify examination.
• Foreign Students are eligible to apply for IIT JAM 2024.
• The proof for the qualifying degree needs to be submitted by 30 September 2022.
• The Students should have scored at least 55% aggregate marks (general/non collegate/ OBC category) and 50% marks without round off the aggregate.
• Students who are waiting for the degree or appearing in the final examination in 2024 can also apply for the application form.
•  Both Indian and international nationals with an Indian degree are allowed to apply Application Form.
• Students are required to submit a Physical Fitness certificate at the time of admission form a registered medical practitioner in prescribed form hospital. If candidates are not found physically fit to  their chosen course of study, their admission is liable to get cancelled.

IIT JAM Registration Form 2024 Important Details

Your official name in the IIT JAM application form 2024 must exactly be the same as per the qualifying degree certificate. You do not need to use title such as Mr./Shri/Dr/Mrs./Smt, etc. before the name.

The students doesn’t need to send hard copies of documents to the organizing university. The eligibility students  documents are to be uploaded online web portal only.

OBC-NCL/EWS candidates are not required to upload any category certificate with the filled JAM 2024 application form.

The syllabus for the 7 papers for which IIT JAM 2024 will be conducted below:

• Biological Sciences: General Biology, Basics of Biochemistry, Biophysics, Microbiology, Cell Biology and Immunology, etc.
• Biotechnology: Biology , Chemistry , Mathematics  and Physics
• Chemistry: Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry
• Geology: The Planet Earth, Geomorphology, Structural Geology, Paleontology, Mineralogy, Petrology, etc
• Mathematics: Sequence and Series of Real Numbers, Functions of One, Two and Three Real Variable, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, etc
• Mathematical Statistics: Sequence and Series, Calculus, Matrices, Probability, Random Variables, Standard Distributions, etc

IIT JAM 2024 Exam Pattern

• Exam Mode: The IIT JAM exam will be held in online Computer based test mode.
• Paper Language: The exam paper medium will be English.
• Paper subjects: There will be 7 paper subjects in IIT JAM 2024.
• Time Section: The time provided to the students to solve the paper will be 3 hours.
• Total Questions: There will be 60 questions in the exam carrying total of 100 marks.
• Type of Questions: The paper will have – MCQs (multiple choice), MSQs (multiple select) & NATs (numerical answer) type of questions.
• Exam Section Paper : The paper will be divided in three section A, B & C. All sections will be compulsory.
• Marking of Question: Some of the questions in each section be of 1 mark & some will be of 2 marks.
• Negative Marking: For the wrong answers, 1/3 mark will be deducted for 1-mark questions. For 2 marks questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted. There will be no negative marking in Section B & C.
