About Indo-Tibetan Border Police
On October 24, 1962, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Force was established. From the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh, the ITBP currently patrols 3,488 kilometers of the India-China border. In addition, the Force plays a significant role in numerous internal security tasks and operations in the state of Chhattisgarh against Left Wing Extremism.
