Diwali 2024 Shubh Muhurat: Diwali is the main festival of Hinduism. Let us inform that this year Amavasya Tithe is falling on both 24th and 25th October. Amavasya Tithe will end on October 25 before Pradosh Kaal. Amavasya date will be on October 24 in Pradosh period. On 24th October, there will be Amavasya Tithe even in the specified time. That is why Diwali will be celebrated across the country on 24 October.
Know that on October 24, the new moon will start at 5:28 pm, which will remain till 4.19 pm on Tuesday evening. The auspicious time of worship of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on Diwali on 24 October is from 6.54 pm to 8.18 pm in the evening.
Method of Diwali Puja
On the day of Diwali, if you worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha with full devotion, you will get happiness and prosperity. The house should be clean on the day of Diwali. Bring a new idol of Lakshmi-Ganesh in the house of worship and sit. For this, make Rangoli and keep a post at the place of worship. Then spread a red cloth on it. Now place the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on it. Keep an urn of water near the outpost. After this, apply tilak to the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. Then light the lamp.

Diwali Puja Vidhi
Maa Lakshmi sits where there is cleanliness. In such a situation, after taking a bath before sunrise, sprinkling Gangajal all over the house and the place of worship of Lakshmi ji and sanctify that place. Furnish the house with flowers, put a pylon at the front door and make a symbol of auspiciousness, swastika. Make Rangoli for mother’s arrival in the evening. In the auspicious time of Pradosh, spread red cloth on the puja post and install the idols of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi and Mother Sarasvati. The idols should be installed in such a way that their face should be in the east or west.
For the worship of Lord Kubera, put Akshat in front of the idol of Goddess Lakshmi on a silver or bronze plate by making swatik with roli and keep silver coins in it. Place mango leaves in the vase, tie a moli on a coconut and install it on the vase. Invoke all the deities by lighting a lamp of ghee. Then first of all, by appealing sandalwood tilak to Lord Ganesha, provide Janeu, Akshat, flowers, Durva.
Do Shodashopachar worship of Goddess Lakshmi, Maa Sarasvati. Offer Roli, Molly, Turmeric, Vermilion, Mehndi, Akshat, Pan, Areca nut, Lotus flower, Kalava, Panchamrit, Fruits, Sweets, Khel Batase, Perfume, Pancharatna, Cowry coconut etc. There is also a law to worship Maa Kali on the day of Diwali. Mahanisha i.e. Goddess Kali is worshiped in two ways on this day. One is normal and the other is Tamaski worship. Those who lead a householder’s life should do normal worship. Now shout the mantras of Lord Ganesha and Maa Lakshmi Om Shree Hreem Shree Kamale Kamallaye Prasid Prasid, Om Shree Hreem Shree.
