About SISCO Bank
The Sikkim State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (SISCO) under RBI Reg.is the first of its kind to be registered in the State. Primarily, the Bank was setup in 1999 with the objective to serve as a balancing center for all cooperative societies in the state and to raise deposits and share capital for giving loans to member cooperatives and other Indirect for viable projects and schemes in farm and non-farm sectors. The total paid-up capital of the Bank is Rs. 1128.15 lakhs out of which Rs. 925.60 lakhs is Govt. share participation to Bank. As on March 2012 the Bank has 354 cooperative societies and 3292 Indirect are enrolled as members of SISCO Bank. Besides deposit mobilization, the bank is also implementing Kissin Credit Card Scheme and Crop Insurance Scheme extensively in the State.
