What is ICAR AICE SRF/JRF?
The All India Competitive Examination (AICE) is held by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to grant JRF/SRF (PGS) awards and admission to doctoral degree programs (PhD). The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the organization that oversees the ICAR AICE SRF/JRF. The ICAR AICE JRF/SRF is held in 89 cities across the country in 70 subjects to ensure participation in doctoral degree programs in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, veterinary medicine, and agricultural sciences. In the event of aspirants getting equal marks in the Entrance Examination, relative/inter se Merit will be determined in the following order:
- The aspirants scoring less negative marks will be rated higher in merit
- The candidate higher in age would be rated higher in merit
- Aspirants with higher score in Bachelor’s/UG examination would be rate higher in merit
Eligibility Criteria of ICAR AICE JRF/SRF 2024
- Indian nationals who have completed a Master’s program funded by the government and have a minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA)The establishment will be qualified. In other situations, where the candidate is only given marks and not grade points, they must have earn at least a percent of the total score, as shown in the table below:

- Aspirants who passed out from private universities which are not accredite by ICAR, are not eligible for the examinations. Applicants who have studied from private universities accredited by ICAR are eligible.
- The aspirant must complete the postgraduate degree in all respects and should have all the degree-completion requirements at the time of Counseling/admission in the university failing which they will not be considered for admission and the award of the fellowship.
- Education Qualification – The aspirant should have done their postgraduate programme with a minimum Overal Grade Pont Average (OGPA) from any university which is accredited by ICAR.
- Age Criteria: The aspirant should be 20 years old minimum to apply.
Counselling of ICAR AICE JRF/SRF 2024 Counselling
Online mode is use for the ICAR AIECE JRF/SRF 2024 counseling process. On November 16, the rank card and counseling letter were made available on the ICAR’s official website, icar.org.in, marking the beginning of the process. Qualified competitors needed to enroll for the directing system by topping off the web-based structure with the compulsory subtleties and paying the enlistment expense of INR 500. The next step is Choice Filling, in which candidates must select courses or universities within the allotted time. Before the last date or until the candidate locks the choices, candidates can update them any number of times. His or her last saved choices will be lock automatically on the last day of choice filling, and the same list will be consider for subsequent counseling rounds.
This is subject to the verification of their documents and the payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee. They must submit all relevant documents within a predetermined time frame to the ICAR AICE Counselling portal for university verification. During any round of counseling, the candidate is not require to physically attend the admitting university to apply for admission. They will be require to pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 10,000 or select seat degradation upon successful document verification. During registration or attendance at classes at the final university, candidates will be require to present all original documents that they upload on the portal for physical verification by the university.

Aspirants who appear for the ICAR AICE-JRFSRF exam on Sep 20 must follow the instructions below to access their result from the official website once it is publish.
- First of all, you must visit – icar.nta.nic.in, the official ICAR website.
