Selection Procedure

Procedure for Post-High School Scholarship Selection: There are a finite number of scholarships for minorities, in contrast to those available to SC and ST students. In ascending order, students from BPL families with the lowest income will be given preference. Before the new ones are taken into consideration, all of the applications for renewal would have been submitted.

Fresh Post-Matric Scholarships: Because there are only a certain number of scholarships for minorities available each year, it is necessary to give preference to applicants. The applicant must submit an income certificate in accordance with Paragraph 11(ii), so poverty will receive more weight in the inter-se selection process than marks will. If both applicants have the same income, merit will be determined by the applicant’s “Date of Birth” (an older applicant is preferred).
