The CISF ASI (Stenographer) is an important role within the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The ASI stands for Assistant Sub Inspector, and this position is responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to senior officers. Specifically, the CISF ASI (Stenographer) is responsible for maintaining accurate records, typing up reports and correspondence, and transcribing dictation. CISF ASI (Stenographer) Exam Pattern 2024

The CISF ASI (Stenographer) Exam Pattern for 2024 comprises of two stages: a written examination and a skill test. The written examination will consist of four subjects, namely General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, and Comprehension and Communication Skill. Candidates will have a total of 2 hours to complete the written examination. The second stage will be a skill test, which will evaluate candidates’ stenography skills.

Candidates will be given a dictation test in English or Hindi at a speed of 80 words per minute for 10 minutes. After transcribing the dictation, candidates will have to type it on a computer at a typing speed of 40 words per minute in English or 35 words per minute in Hindi. The skill test will be qualifying in nature, and candidates must score at least 40% marks to pass. Overall, the CISF ASI (Stenographer) Exam Pattern is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and skills in various areas, including stenography, communication, reasoning, and general awareness.
