TVS Raider 125- TVS Motor Company has updated its portfolio with the launch of a new premium commuter motorcycle, the Raider. This new model from the Hosur-based two-wheeler maker competes against the Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 and the Honda SP 125 in the Indian market. TVS Motor Company will offer the new Raider in three variants – Drum, Disc, and Connected.
All versions of the vehicle utilize a 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine with air-cooling and a three-valve design. It produces 11.2bhp of power at 7,500rpm and a maximum torque of 11.2Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is matched with a five-speed transmission. The manufacturer claims that the vehicle can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 99kmph.

Both versions of the motorcycle come with a range of standard features. These include an LED headlight with built-in LED DRLs, an LED taillight, a five-inch digital display, an Idle Stop-Start system, two ride modes (Eco and Power), and under-seat storage which is a first in this category. The Connected variant offers even more advantages such as a color TFT display, Bluetooth system, and Voice Assist feature. Connected variant provides extra functions including navigation, voice assist, incoming call alerts, and message notifications. It is worth noting that a USB charger is available as an optional extra.
The suspension system consists of front forks with a telescopic design measuring 30mm in diameter, as well as a rear mono-shock that can be adjusted for preload. On the base version, the braking duties are performed by drum units installed on both wheels. However, the disc variant comes equipped with a 240mm disc brake on the front wheel and a 130mm drum unit on the rear wheel. To ensure safety across all variants, a combined braking system is included.

The warranty for the TVS 125, which was bought one and a half years ago, covers a period of 5 years or 50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
