OPPO’s Find X series is not currently released in India. However, those acquainted with earlier models such as the Find X6 Pro will notice similarities with the Find X7 Ultra. The phone boasts a premium design, featuring curved glass on the front and a dual-tone finish on the back. In the version we reviewed, the back was mostly covered in black leather with a frosted grey finish surrounding the camera module.
When it comes to the camera module, OPPO’s statement piece is just as prominent on the Find X7 Ultra as it was on the Find X6 Pro. The noticeable camera bump causes the phone to rest at an angle on flat surfaces. Weighing 221 grams, the Find X7 Ultra is a heavy phone, especially top-heavy because of the camera setup.
The Find X7 Ultra features a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 3,168 × 1,440, offering a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen provides outstanding viewing angles, colors, and sharpness, along with a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.

The standout feature of the Find X7 Ultra continues to be its cameras, thanks to OPPO’s collaboration with Hasselblad. Both phones excel in edge detection and creating background blur.
When capturing close-up images with the Find X7 Ultra, the camera automatically shifts to the wide-angle lens for macro mode, providing satisfactory results under daylight conditions. For users seeking greater control over their photography, there is a Master mode available. Within the Master mode, the Auto feature offers a fundamental level of customization, enabling adjustments to exposure settings and the choice to capture in RAW or RAW Max modes. On the other hand, the Pro option offers a wider range of settings to experiment with, including ISO, White Balance, manual focus, and more. In China, users have the option to buy the phone with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Benchmark tests show that its performance is on par with leading flagship devices from 2024, with an AnTuTu score of over 2 million. The Find X7 Ultra’s performance is comparable to other smartphones utilizing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and iQOO 12.
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra performs exceptionally well in various tasks such as multitasking and gaming, operating smoothly when utilizing the user interface and switching between apps. While there were no major delays during my usage, the device did exhibit some slight warmth during prolonged use, especially when recording videos. The device in China is equipped with ColorOS 14, based on Android 14. Our unit came with China-specific apps preinstalled, requiring us to download Google Play Store for common Indian apps like Gmail and Chrome.
Battery life
Similar to the screen, the battery aspect remains consistent. OPPO has included a 5,000mAh battery in the Find X7 Ultra. The phone is equipped with 100W fast charging through a provided charger, allowing a 31-minute charging time from 20 to 100 percent. Additionally, the Find X7 Ultra is compatible with 50W wireless charging, although we were unable to verify the speed without OPPO’s charging pad.
During our PCMark battery assessment, the Find X7 Ultra provided approximately 10 hours of battery longevity, which was disappointing. Practical trials reflected a similar outcome, with the battery depleting swiftly throughout the day, necessitating a recharge before bedtime. It is evident that this phone does not offer two-day battery life, and achieving a day and a half on one charge will be challenging under heavy usage. Nonetheless, it does feature fast charging, which is a positive aspect.
