Engineering is one of the most sought-after career paths in India. Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degrees are available to students. Minor differences exist between the two classes. While B.Tech takes a more hands-on approach, BE is more theoretical. JEE Main is the most important test for undergraduate engineering admission. The NTA conducts the exam twice, in January and April. NITs, CFTIs, IIITs, and numerous colleges across the nation accept the JEE Main score. However, the JEE Advanced entrance exam is administered by prestigious engineering schools like the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).
The JEE Advanced exam is also held at the national level, but only the top 2.5 JEE Main qualifying candidates are eligible to take it. Therefore, in order to be eligible for JEE Advanced, students must pass JEE Main. In addition to the JEE, various states conduct State Level Entrance Exams in 2023 for the purpose of admitting students to engineering colleges in that state. The examinations, which are held in Kerala, Karnataka, West Bengal, AP, and TS respectively, are referred to as UPSEE, KEAM, KCET, WBJEE, AP EAMCET, and TS EAMCET. The JEE Main exam is used for admission in some states, like Bihar.
The JEE Main or university entrance exams are used to select engineering students for private universities. VIT, SRM, Manipal, GITAM, and KIIT are among the most well-liked engineering institutions, and admission to each of these institutions requires passing an entrance exam.
