Liger Movie Box Office Collection: The sports film “Liger” by Vijay Deverakonda has failed to live up to expectations at the box office. The TFI (Telugu Film Industry) had been on a winning streak since its release. However, it now appears that it will be withdrawn from theaters within a week, incurring a loss of over 50 crore.
Despite negative reviews, the film opened on a positive note at the box office, but on its second day, it saw a significant drop in sales, and it was unable to recover. It has earned between 24 and 25 crore shares worldwide during the extended weekend, which lasted four days.

The film starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday was touted as a Bollywood business savior prior to its release. It hit all the right notes: a pan-Indian hunk, a stunning actress, their smoldering chemistry, and a mind-blowing Hollywood cameo before the pandemic. However, it appears that during the pandemic, the audience has moved on from attractive cast members and item songs. They require more meat, but Liger was unable to provide it. Result? The movie didn’t keep people coming back to the theater.
The box office estimates for the fourth day of the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Liger show that the film is officially a failure. According to a report published by Bollywood Hungama, the much-anticipated film directed by Puri Jagannadh and starring Ananya Panday in the lead role reportedly grossed anywhere from Rs 90 lakh to Rs 1 crore (in Hindi). According to a report published by india.com, the Hindi version of Liger brought in 1.25 crore from preview screenings, 4.5 crore on Friday, Rs 4.25 crore on Saturday, and only 3.75 crore on Sunday due to the India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup matchup. Liger Hindi is expected to end its run with a collection of less than Rs 20 crore, according to the film’s overall collection on day 4.

Liger Pre-Release Business
The first day of Liger’s release in India brought in more than 37 crores of rupees, making it the best opening of Vijay Devarakonda’s career thus far and bringing great satisfaction to the film’s producers. The best pre-release business for either Puri Jagannadh or Vijay Devarakonda, the film reportedly has a pre-release business of around 90 crores, including digital rights. Despite the fact that the Liger movie needs a lot to break even, let’s hope it does well at the box office in the coming days.
