The 13th Generation Intel Core i5-1335U processor powers the thin-and-lightweight HP Pavilion x360 (review unit), a convertible laptop. In contrast to the standard black, grey, and blue options that the majority of other laptops in its category typically come with, its pale rose gold color looks novel. Although HP used a combination of metal and plastic in the construction, the laptop has a uniform metallic finish, even on the plastic parts. As a result, the HP Pavilion x360 appears to be of high quality from every angle. The HP Pavilion x360 has a thickness of 17 millimeters and a weight of 1.41 kilograms. For a PC, these figures are not dumbfounding yet unassuming. The device’s overall dimensions and weight are not optimized for its tablet form factor; in tablet mode, it feels thick and heavy.

The HP Pavilion x360 also has a smooth keyboard and a powerful processor. The laptop is a dependable device that completes the task. It differentiates itself from the typical workhorse laptop with a few additional features. For common office tasks and internet applications, the HP Pavilion x360 is well-equipped. Design and Build Quality
With the outer shell made of recycled materials, HP is contributing to the increasing trend of businesses focusing on environmental sustainability. The laptop’s appearance is only slightly altered by this. While it won’t blow some people’s minds, it gets the fundamentals right by going for a more expert look — ideal for its objective market. The 14-inch chassis is rigid and made of high-quality aluminum. It appears to be quite durable, and it should be able to withstand a few hits from your backpack. The all-silver design is ideal for a meeting room and features a glossy HP logo in the center that quickly collects fingerprints. If you want something different, HP also sells a rose-colored variant. The laptop’s hinges stand out a lot, which becomes even more apparent when the lid is opened.
The laptop was where we wrote the majority of our reviews, and we found the keys to be very responsive and gave us good tactile feedback. Keep in mind that due to the compact chassis, it is not a full-size keyboard; however, there are buttons for individual page up and down, which are extremely useful for writers. However, the Home and Backspace buttons are crammed together, and we frequently misunderstood them as the latter. There are two brightness levels for the white backlight on the keys. We found the backlight to be slightly leaking when it was held at an angle on our laps in the dark, which was annoying. Last but not least, the laptop has two bottom-firing speakers and a slew of vents on its underside. The Pavilion x360 has a decent number of ports for a 14-inch laptop. There is a micro SD card slot, two USB-Type A ports, and a charging port on the laptop’s right side. A vent grille, a USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack are all on the left side. Sadly, it does not have an RJ45 port.

Display and Performance
The Pavilion x360 has a touch-enabled 14-inch IPS display that refreshes at 60 Hz and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The bottom chin is more prominent, and the bezels are fairly thick. We had no trouble using the laptop inside, but the 250 nits peak brightness is insufficient in daylight. The display supports 45% of the NTSC color gamut and has the standard aspect ratio of 16:9. The panel has decent viewing angles and excellent touch response. Since the Structure x360’s main interest group is bookkeeping sheet filling experts, there’s no significant accentuation on the presentation’s variety exactness. Despite this, because it takes up less space in tent mode, it is capable of handling a brief, all-by-one Netflix session at the cafeteria fairly well.
The Pavilion x360 can also be used as a tablet, but because the display weighs more than a kilo, you can use it to work on your biceps at home instead of going to the gym. Nevertheless, if you want to express your artistic side, HP includes a stylus as well. We found the Pavilion x360’s bottom-firing speakers to be fairly average. They are best optimized for the tent mode and lack clarity and bass. The HP Pavilion x360’s Intel i5-1335U processor has ten CPU cores, with two performance cores and eight efficiency cores. There are twelve threads in all, and the processor has a maximum frequency of 4.6 GHz. The fact that the i5-1335U uses only 15W of power during typical workloads is indicated by the letter “U.”
HP has decided to save money by using 16GB DDR4 RAM rather than more powerful DDR5. Because it comes with 1 TB of NVMe M.2 SSD storage to save face, this shouldn’t be a deal breaker given the use case. Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6E are also supported. It can fairly effectively manage day-to-day tasks like juggling multiple Chrome tabs without stuttering or lags thanks to that foundation. In addition, despite its small size, there were no issues with heating, and the fan noise was well below what was uncomfortable. On Cinebench R23, the Pavilion x360 received 1558 and 6115 points for single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Although this is not a comparison of apples to apples, the following figures will help put things into perspective. First, in single-core and multi-core tests, the Infinix Zero Book Ultra (Review) received scores of 1721 and 11924, respectively.
