What are the medical tests conduct in the Medical examination after SSB?

Following are the test upon which the further selection of the aspirants rests upon,

  • General medical measurements, such as height, weight, heartbeat, blood pressure.
  • Blood test,
  • Ultrasonography,
  • Chest X-ray,
  • Urine test,
  • ENT (Ear, Nose, and Tongue) check-up,

What to do if you are declared unfit in the Medical Examination?

Aspirants who are declare as temporarily unfit can appeal to the Appeal Medical board for reassurance of the assessment done.

The aspirants who are subject to a permanent unfair rejection list can also apply for a review in the Appeal Medical board.

The only difference that rests between the 2 is the permanently reject aspirants would have to deposit rupees 40 for requesting the review. And the aspirants with temporary rejection do not require a fee.

After the grant of appeal, the aspirants are expect to report for medical examination (re-examination), within 42 days. The tenure is such that, 42 days from the last date examined for re-test.

This is allow by the Special Medical Board, directed by the President of the Medical Board.

The proceeding of this medical board is look for to be complete in one day only.

How to appeal for a Review in Medical Board?

Any aspirant who is not satisfy with the proceeding of the medical examination can call for a review. In order to do so, he or she would have to demand the Recruiting Directorate, Army Headquarters, along with a copy to the President of Appeal Medical Board.

The application for Review Medical Board is over through DG AFMS (Director General, Armed Force Medical Services). The permission of the appeal solely rests upon the DG of AFMS.

Review Medical Board is take in two cities. These hospitals are R&R Hospital, Delhi Cantt, and AFMC Pune.

Where to stay during Medical Examination?
