West Bengal Lockdown ePass 2024 – The West Bengal government on Saturday relaxed the COVID guidelines in the state and allowed wedding ceremonies to continue with a maximum of 200 guests at a time. The state government issued new guidelines saying that local fairs or fairs will be allowed in open places. In the order, the state government said that after reviewing the current status of the COVID-19 pandemic and the concerns caused by the new version “Omicron”, the State Executive Committee of the West Bengal State Disaster Management Authority recommended the continuation of the lockdown. West Bengal Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi announced during a press conference on January 2, 2024, that the state would operate flights from Delhi and Mumbai only twice a week from January 5 on Mondays and Fridays. The state has temporarily banned flights from the UK.

Under the new restrictions, all government offices and private offices in the state will operate at 50 percent capacity. Local trains will also run with 50 percent capacity till 7 pm. Metro trains will run on their normal schedule but with 50 percent capacity. Long-distance trains will run as per their normal timings. As cases of the Omicron version of COVID-19 continue to rise across the country, several states have started implementing stringent restrictions to contain the spread of the virus. So far 20 cases of Omicron have been reported in West Bengal. West Bengal Lockdown Rules 2024 What Will be Not Allowed

• All schools, colleges, universities will remain closed. Administration activities will be allowed with 50 percent staff at a time.
• All government offices and private have been ordered to function with only 50 percent staff at a time and work from home as much as possible.
• Amusement parks, tourist places, and zoos will remain closed.
• All spas, gyms, beauty parlors, salons, swimming pools, and wellness centers will remain closed.
• The state has imposed a night curfew between 10 pm and 5 am. The movement of people and vehicles and public gatherings will be restricted between 10 pm to 5 am. Only essential and emergency services will be allowed.
• The Ramakrishna Math on the west bank of the Hooghly River and the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission, Belur in West Bengal, will remain closed for devotees and visitors till further notification in view of the new COVID restrictions announced by the state government.

In view of the Omicron situation, West Bengal has imposed a series of restrictions related to the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) from January 3 (Monday), under which all schools and colleges in the state will once again shut their gates. .
