Eligibility Criteria for West Bengal WBSETCL Vacancy

West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSETCL) has notified the official notification for the recruitment of the Probationary Officers (POs). The eligibility criteria, application process and other details are mentioned in the notification.

Educational Qualification

The post wise required qualifications as follows:-

1. Junior Engineer (Electrical) Gr. II: Full time 03 years Confirmation in Electrical Designing from perceived Foundation/School properly perceived by WB State Chamber of Specialized Training (renamed as West Bengal State Board of Specialized and Professional Instruction and Ability Advancement).
2. Junior Executive (Stores): With a postgraduate degree or diploma in logistics from a recognized university or institute that has been approved by AICTE or the UGC; OR a postgraduate degree or diploma in materials management from an institution recognized by AICTE or UGC, such as the Indian Institute of Materials Management; OR a postgraduate degree or diploma in logistics and materials management from a university or institute recognized by AICTE or UGC; OR a postgraduate degree or diploma in supply chain management from a university or institute recognized by AICTE or UGC; OR a postgraduate degree or diploma in supply chain management and logistics from an institution recognized by AICTE or UGC, such as the Indian Institute of Materials Management; OR a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or Logistics.

Age Limit

• Least 18 years and Greatest 32 years is as far as possible for General Classification Applicants.
• Only contestants in the West Bengal Reserved category will be subject to the upper age limit set by the government.:-
• SC/ ST Category – 05 (five) years
• OBC-A/ OBC-B Category – 03 (three) years
• PWD Category – 10 (ten) years
• Ex-Servicemen aspirants will be get relaxation in age as per norms.
• The age limit for SC, ST, OBC-A, and OBC-B candidates from states other than West Bengal will be the same as for general candidates.

Application Fee

1. Junior Executive (Stores): Rs. 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred) for Unreserved, OBC-A, OBC-B and Ex-Serviceman (UR/ OBC-A & OBC-B) aspirants.
2. JE (Electrical) Gr.-II: Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) for Unreserved, OBC-A, OBC-B and Ex-Serviceman (UR/ OBC-A & OBC-B) aspirants.
3. SC, ST and PWD aspirants are exempted from deposition of Application Fees.
