He later moved to England for further studies, where he enrolled at De Montfort University. Vivek has a Master of Science in International Business Management. Dahiya used to do theatre in college, but he had no intention of going into acting, so he started working in an IT corporate company in England itself. He received a modelling offer while touring India for some of his work, which he couldn’t refuse.

He won the title of Mr. Chandigarh in 2011, after which he relocated to Delhi. After moving to Delhi, he worked on print ad shoots and runway walks for a variety of brands. Later, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a full-time acting career, and he began auditioning for roles in serials. In 2013, he got his first break in the TV series Yeh Hai Aashiqui, where he played the character Devesh. His character in this serial was well received by the audience, and as a result, he was given the role of Inspector Rajveer Thakur in the serial Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera. In this serial, he played a bad cop who abuses his authority to murder a serial character. Following that, he began receiving threatening phone calls.

“I remember playing a bad cop in a show called Veera who would abuse his authority and get the male lead in trouble.” I used to get a lot of hate mail. On the show, I killed someone, and the audience took it seriously. So this one guy threatened me that if I was seen outside, he’d have me beaten up. “I took it to my confidence that I must have done a good job for them to be upset with me,”
