While soaring used car prices are bad for those who can’t afford a new car, they may mean 2023 is a good time to buy a car for those with a vehicle to trade in. A high trade-in price means added capital that can help reduce the finance share of purchasing a new car. By 2023, 25% of cars sold will have electric engines, up from 5% today. But most of those will be hybrids, and 95% of cars will still rely on fossil fuels for at least part of their power. That means automakers will need to make internal combustion engines more efficient to comply with new standards.

Upcoming Electric Cars Price In India 2023
As the world becomes more and more aware of the harmful effects of driving cars made with gas, more and more people are turning to electric cars as their go-to choice for transportation. 2023 may very well be the year when electric cars become the norm, and some of the most popular models on the market today are electric cars. In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the most popular electric cars being released in 2023.
Model List | Expected Price |
BMW i3 | ₹ 40 Lakh |
BMW i8 Roadster | ₹ 2.9 Crore |
Tata E-Vision concept | ₹ 25 Lakh |

BMW i3
The BMW i3 electric sedan is based on an upcoming facelifted version of the Chinese-market long-wheelbase 3-Series, which is 163mm longer than the existing standard-wheelbase 3-Series, at 4872mm. At 2966mm, its wheelbase is also 115mm longer than the standard 3-Series’. The i3 electric sedan seen in these pictures has nothing in common with the existing i3 electric hatchback that’s available globally. BMW’s decision to use the i3 name for the electric version of the long-wheelbase 3-Series comes after officials suggested that the existing i3 hatchback will cease production in 2023. The i3 also goes in-line with BMW’s electric vehicle nomenclature that also has the BMW i4, which is based on the four-series Gran Coupe.
Features
Despite the relatively nippy acceleration (0-100 km/h) in 7.3 seconds for the i3 and 6.9 seconds for the i3s), the i3 never really goads you into sporty driving however. This range does not include taxes and fees, and does not factor in your specific model year or unique location. Related repairs may also be needed.
If you have no idea about the BMW i3 electric car price in India, BMW i3 electric car specifications, BMW i3 electric car price, BMW i3 electric car range? or Looking for the BMW i3 electric car review, BMW i3 electric car for sale, BMW i3 electric car price UK, BMW i3 electric car lease, BMW i3 electric car Features and Images? if yes then, let me tell you, you have placed at the perfect place cause, here in this post, you will get that all kinds of information which you need to know about the BMW i3 Electric Car.
Specifications
The BMW i3 is a B-segment, high-roof hatchback manufactured and marketed by BMW with an electric powertrain using rear wheel drive via a single-speed transmission and an underfloor Li-ion battery pack and an optional range-extending petrol engine. BMW i3 electric car already on sale in the overseas country’s and set to launch in India as well. A part of BMW’s i sub-brand, i3 is the marque’s first mass-produced vehicle with zero emissions. BMW i8 Roadster
Hybrid sports cars are increasingly common thanks to electricity’s performance-enhancing qualities, but the 2023 BMW i8 is more about looking fast than going fast. Still, the BMW provides a show-stopping entrance regardless of whether its dihedral doors open on the hardtop coupe or convertible roadster. While its plug-in powertrain is respectably powerful—and quicker than lesser hybrids—you’re more likely to see one tear around a Whole Foods parking lot than your local racetrack. A user-friendly ride and comfortable front seats make the 2023 i8 usable every day; however, its limited storage space and compromised cabin access might cross it off most people’s list.
Features
The BMW i8 Roadster was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 and it looks jaw-dropping no matter which angle you choose to look at it from. The Roadster gets a fabric roof which folds itself in 15 seconds, and this can be done at speeds of up to 50kmph. But, even with the roof gone, BMW has retained the classic i8 butterfly doors. Compared to the coupe, the Roadster has gone through a minor mechanical change.

Tata E-Vision concept
Tata Motors made the world debut of its first-ever long-range EV concept, the E-Vision, at the 2023 Geneva Motor Show in March. The Tata E-Vision is underpinned by Tata Motors’ new modular platform, OMEGA ARC, which it shares with the upcoming Tata Harrier. Based on Tata Motors’ latest Impact 2.0 design philosophy, the Tata E-Vision features clean and minimalistic styling both inside and outside.
Features
Like the concept model of the Tata Harrier, the H5X, the Tata E-Vision concept too offers multiple screens and wood inlays. According to the automaker, the E-Vision concept was a demonstration of what Tata is capable of achieving when it comes to e-mobility. Though the E-Vision’s specs are not out yet, it offers a sub-7 second 0-100kmph time and a top speed of 200kmph.
The only technical information available about the car is that the concept features two motors, one on each axle which will make this sedan an AWD. Another good news is that it will feature both slow AC charging and fast DC charging, with a range of 350-420km on a single charge. Performance enthusiast will be glad to know that the E-Vision will have a top speed of 200kmph and will reach triple digits sub-7 seconds. That’s not only quick for a sedan of this size, but quick, period. Also, the car will pack in a lot of tech like predictive energy management systems, which will focus on giving you the best range possible and connected technologies such as cloud computing, analytics, geospatial mapping, and increased human-machine interface.
Specifications
The E-Vision offers a Tesla-like dual-motor setup and its range is expected to be over 300km on a single charge. The Tata E-Vision’s production-spec version is expected to feature a hybrid powertrain, if not regular petrol and diesel engines. Check out more details about the Tata E-Vision here.
The face of the Tata E-Vision concept features Tata’s trademark humanity line but there’s another interesting design element up front that draws attention: a staggering 4,000 pins on a glass panel in place of the radiator grille. The pins are so designed that they create the company’s tri-arrow pattern, which has now become a signature design element of the carmaker. The same pattern can also be seen at some other places inside the E-Vision concept like on the seats, door sills, door speakers, and even on the glass roof.
Hyundai New Kona
Hyundai Motor Company has teased the new Kona and first-ever Kona N Line SUVs. As seen in the images, Kona electric SUV will get fresh design updates with urban and sporty styling, while the Kona N Line gets sporty highlights with additional aerodynamic exterior detailing. The Hyundai Kona N Line will be the latest entrant in the high-performance N Line portfolio. That said, the Kona N Line is unlikely to be introduced in India anytime soon.
Features
Visually, the new Hyundai Kona gets a wider stance and a shark-inspired nose that gives the model a sleeker look. The updated daytime running lamps (DRL) give it a high-tech, sophisticated style. Furthermore, the redesigned front skid plate and bumper add to its armored appearance. More details about the new Kona will be known in the days to come.

The most comprehensive updates to the Kona Electric facelift are to its exterior styling. Up front, the most dramatic change is the complete removal of the grille, giving it a much smoother look, befitting an EV. The headlamps have also been re-profiled and look sharper and sleeker.

Mahindra eKUV100
Mahindrashook everyone with an electric line-up at the 2018 Auto Expo. There was an electric bus, an all-new electric platform with two city-oriented electric concepts and an electric KUV100. The KUV100 EV will be spearheading the electric car line-up from the Indian carmaker.
Features
Appearance wise, the eKUV100 looks similar to the standard car apart from the badging. The same is the case on the inside, however, the electric KUV makes do without a gear lever. The gear lever nolonger creates a hindrance to the six seat configuration. Mahindra boasts that the new eKUV100 comes with new connectivity features with remote diagnostics, cabin pre-cooling, and a real-time location tracking. The electric compact crossover could even monitor the driver’s driving pattern and the battery status.

Powering the eKUV100 would be the same 30kW lithium-ion battery pack which can be found in the eVerito. The vehicle can cover 140 kilometers between charges with a quick charging feature which can charge to 80 percent in less than an hour. However, a new powertrain is also expected to be offered when the car will be launched.

Mercedes-Benz EQS
If you’re after the most technologically advanced luxury sedan, then the Mercedes-Benz EQS should be high on your consideration list. It’s the company’s attempt at an electric equivalent to an S-class, and it offers the latest and greatest gadgetry—including Benz’s giant Hype screen touchscreen, driver profiles based on fingerprint scans, and a whopping six USB-C ports.
Features
It spoils its riders with voluminous interior space, gorgeous cabin materials, headrest pillows, massage functions, and neck-and-shoulder heating. However, if you want your vehicle to be a car first and a living room second you’ll be disappointed. The EQS leaves much to be desired when it comes to the basics of everyday driving dynamics.
Fog Lights – Front | Yes |
Multi-function Steering Wheel | Yes |
Specifications
It’s neither pleasing nor engaging to drive. Its responses are syrupy, its handling unremarkable, and its odd brake pedal feel creates a sense of disquietude. Mercedes-Benz’s gasoline-powered S-class sedan is the cruise ship other luxury-car manufacturers measure their products against. Unfortunately, the EQS EV needs a lot more refinement if it’s to reach that same position in the world of EV luxury sedans.
