Eligibility Criteria of TISSNET 2024

Aspirants must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling the registration form. Aspirants found ineligible at any stage of selection will be rejected.

The general eligibility criterion for Tata Institute of Social Sciences NET 2024 is given below-

• A three-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a reputable university in any field is required.
• Only candidates in their final year who have successfully completed the first to fourth semesters of a three-year program and the first to sixth semesters of a four-year degree program are eligible.
• Candidates who will complete their final year requirements by June 13, 2024, are the only ones eligible.
• If a final-year candidate fails to pass the final year, both his or her candidacy and admission will be canceled immediately.
• Candidates who meet the requirements but are unable to submit a degree or certificate at the time of admission may do so until August 31, 2024.

The selection process of Tata Institute of Social Sciences NET 2024 involves the following process-

• Written Test/National Entrance Test (NET)

TISSNET is the 1st step in the selection procedure. Aspirants will be judged on the basis of their aptitude, logical reasoning skills, quantitative skills, verbal ability, general awareness etc.

• Pre-Interview Test (PIT)/ GD

Aspirants shortlisted from NET will be called for Pre-Interview Test.

• Personal Interview (PI)

Applicants who will qualify the second round of PIT will be called for Personal Interview.

The final merit list will be created using the results of these three selection rounds, each of which has its own weighting.

TISSNET 2024– Weightage

The following weighting system will be used to create the final merit list:

• NET- 40%
• PIT- 30%
• PI- 30%

TISSNET 2024 Application Fee

• The application fee can be paid with a debit or credit card, demand draft, net banking, or SBI Bank Challan.
• The application fee cannot be transferred or refunded.

Exam Pattern of Tata Institute of Social Sciences NET

The Exam Pattern for TISSNET is as follows-

• TISSNET 2024 is a computer-based online test.
• The span of the test will be 1 hour 40 minutes.
• Objective-type questions will be asked on the questions paper.
• There will be 100 questions all together.
• 100 points will be awarded.
• 1 point for each correct response.
• There won’t be a cutoff for sections.
• Negative marking cannot be applied.

How To Apply TISSNET Application Form 2024 Online?

• Tata Institute of Social Sciences NET application forms are available on the official website. As no offline application forms are available aspirants are required to fill out the application form at admissions.tiss.edu.
• A maximum of three programs can be applied for by applicants.
• The registration form must be carefully filled out by candidates.
• A recent photograph in the size of a passport, a signature, a copy of the Challan (if the application is paid for with a challan), their caste, and any other relevant certificates must be uploaded.
• Candidates who live in rural areas and have access to the internet can request a printed application form by writing to the TISS campus in Mumbai. They are required to submit the application form by the deadline.
