- Educational Qualifications:
- One have must Certificate as Laboratory Technician Course, or
- MLT (VOC)/Intermediate (MLT Vocational) with one-year clinical/apprenticeship training, or
- Diploma in Medical Lab-Technician Course (DMLT), or
- Sc (MLT) / M.Sc (MLT), or
- Diploma in Medical Lab (Clinical Pathology) Technician Course, or
- Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), or
- PG. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, or
- PG. Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry, or
- B.Sc (Microbiology) / M.Sc (Microbiology), or
- M.Sc in Medical Biochemistry, or
- M.Sc in Clinical Microbiology, or
- M.Sc in Biochemistry.
- The individual must be registered with the Telangana Para Medical Board.
- Age Limit:
- A candidate must have turned at least 18 years as July 01, 2025.
- The upper age limit for UR and SC, ST, BC or EWS candidates is 46 years and 51 years, respectively.

Application & Exam Fee
To apply for the position of Lab Technician Grade II, a candidate had to pay an examination fee of 500 rupees, regardless of their category. The processing cost is 200 rupees; however, unemployed individuals aged 18 to 46, as well as SC, ST, BC, EWS, PH, and Telangana ex-servicemen, are exempt.
Telangana Lab Technician Posts Selection Process
The Lab Technician Grade II recruitment procedure has two primary components:
- Written Examination (Computer-Based Test):The written exam has a total score of 80 points. It will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The candidate’s performance in this test will have a direct impact on their overall score and selection.
- Experience in State Government Service:Candidates having previous job experience in state government hospitals or institutes (on a contractual or outsourced basis) will receive up to 20 points. These marks will be added to the candidate’s written test score.
The ultimate decision will be made using the combined score of the CBT and the candidate’s experience points.
