This meant that experts and novices alike had to use a variety of tools and alcohol to soften the adhesive and carefully remove the battery so as not to tear it apart. However, with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung has made this process much easier.
Simply remove the front glass assembly, wireless charging coil, screws, and ribbon cable to easily access and remove the 5,000mAh battery in seconds. Zach explains in the video that the average person can easily remove the battery. There were minor issues during the disassembly process that almost ripped the ribbon cable, but Zach argued that Samsung’s implementation of this change was worth the wait. He even says he’s been waiting eight years for Samsung to make this small but significant improvement.
