Deshpande enrolled in Ethiraj College for Women after passing the intermediate exam, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Visual Communication. Priyanka had no plans to become an anchor. Surprisingly, Priyanka began her career as a host by accident. His close anchor friend was unavailable for some time. She temporarily took over the show and hosted it for a few days. She eventually became a full-time anchor. In 2009, she made her debut and began her career as the host of the Zee Tamil channel’s This Chirpy Girl. Aside from that, she has appeared as a host on Zee Tamil shows such as Azhagiya Penne, Isai Unplugged, and Glimpse.

In 2015, the makers of Star Vijay detained Priyanka as the host for the show Cinema Karam Coffee along with co-anchor Ma Ka Pa Anand. Deshpande had successfully managed Star Vijay’s shows, mainly Super Singer Junior, Super Singer 6, 7, and 8 as well as many more.
