POCO F3 GT Review: High Power, Low Price? Features, deign

POCO F3 GT Review – If you’re looking for a phone that offers power and performance at a low price, the Poco F3 GT may be the perfect choice for you. It’s a phone that’s been designed with gaming and mobile gaming in mind, and it offers great performance for its price. So if gaming is one of your interests, the Poco F3 GT may be the phone for you!

The POCO F1 was one of my favorite phones back then. A lot has changed since then. Nearly three years later, the company has launched India’s most highly anticipated successor to F1. It was called the POCO F3 GT, not the POCO F2 we all expected. The reason the POCO F1 became so popular is because the device was a mobile gaming powerhouse. POCO F3 GT Review.

POCO F3 GT Review: High Power, Low Price?

The POCO F3 GT is a phone that packs a lot of power for its low price. It comes with a 6GB of storage and 1GHz quad-core processor, making it great for gaming, video calling and general usage. The 6.67in HD display is also amazing, making it perfect for watching videos or browsing the internet. Some downsides of the phone include the battery life and lack of water resistance, but overall it’s a great phone for the money. If you’re looking for a phone that packs a lot of power without breaking the bank, the POCO F3 GT is a great option!

The POCO F3 GT doesn’t currently have the ‘best’ processor on the market, but it’s geared towards gamers with gaming-centric features like a 120Hz AMOLED display, Maglev triggers, and more. I have been using the POCO F3 GT for quite some time. In this review, I will share my experience with POCO’s latest gaming smartphone. We’ll cover various aspects like gaming, battery life, performance, cameras and, of course, suggest if or who should buy a POCO F3 GT smartphone.

POCO F3 GT Features

We tested the POCO F3 GT over 7 days. I was running Android 11 with MIUI 12.5.4.0 and the July 2021 security patch. This device was made available for this review by POCO India. On the one hand, there are dedicated phones like the Asus ROG gaming phones that demand premium prices. And there is this huge market opportunity for more affordable gaming smartphones without much compromise. POCO F3 GT Review.

Design & Build

It weighs 205g and is about 8.3mm thick, which is the same as the Pixel 6, but its even weight distribution and rounded edges make it feel great in your hand despite being a large-screen device. This review was for the Gunmetal Silver variant, but there is also a Predator Black colorway. The fingerprint sensor is located on the power button and is superior to fingerprint scanners on the back or in the display for ease of use. You can also configure the scanner to respond to touch or pressure. This is very convenient.

Screen & Audio

POCO F3 GT features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 10-bit AMOLED 120Hz display. The panel supports touch sampling rates up to 480 Hz, which is very noticeable while gaming. The refresh rate can be manually set to 60 Hz or 120 Hz and there is no auto-toggle option. The viewing experience is excellent, with extensive options in settings to customize the display to your needs. The display is bright at 500 nits, supports HDR10+ content, and boosts brightness further to 1300 nits. The F3 GT is one of POCO’s first phones with an AMOLED panel and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Specs & Performance

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Immensity 1200 processor, paired with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 8/256 GB. POCO claims to use vapor chamber cooling and eight layers of white aerospace-grade graphene sheets to improve thermal performance. The phone got reasonably hot during intense gaming, but that’s about it Most games like Asphalt 9, Call of Duty, Dead Trigger, Battlegrounds Mobile India (PUBG local version) worked as expected, with no stutters or lags.

Cameras

The main camera is a 64 MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.6 and photos are taken at 16 MP by default. Photos taken in daylight or good lighting conditions do well, and there’s not much to complain about here. Low-light shots suffer from a lot of noise and lose detail. There’s a night mode that works well from time to time, so the results are mixed. The macro camera takes some good close-ups, but loses detail. Interestingly, the 2x zoom on the main camera improves detail in close-up shots.

Battery Life & Charging

As for battery life, the built-in 5065mAh battery lasts a full day with heavy use with the 120Hz refresh rate enabled, and longer with moderate usage. A few software tweaks under the hood help with battery management. There are several battery saving modes Battery Saver and Ultra Battery Saver to extend battery life even more by shutting down some functions to save power.

Software

The phone runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and the overall interface is smooth and almost ad-free. The interface is snappy and fast, but it comes pre-installed with several apps like Amazon Shopping, Facebook, Amazon Prime Video, LinkedIn, Netflix, and Get Apps. Care should be taken to skip additional app installation prompts during setup and opt-out of personalized advertising.

What you need to know about the POCO F3 GT

POCO F3 GT is a completely gaming-oriented smartphone. This ranges from design choices, to adding hardware such as game triggers, to the explicit goal of balancing performance and value. The phone is a remastered version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition only available in China and will compete with the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2 and REALME X7 Pro. The POCO F3 GT is the latest addition to a fairly crowded list of MediaTek Immensity 1200 smartphones. The Taiwanese firm’s powerful chipset has proven to be a capable solution for smartphones seeking a balance of performance and value.

How’s the design of the POCO F3 GT?

Design is always subjective, but the POCO F3 GT is polarizing to the extreme. Gamers will probably appreciate the aggressive design, but if like me, you prefer something more minimalist, then not. That said, POCO is a gamer aesthetic for a device billed as a gaming smartphone. You really can’t go wrong with playing .The whole phone is a standard Gorilla Glass 5 and metal sandwich design with a little sparkle to emphasize speed. It has design decorations all over the back and also features a lightning bolt-shaped LED flash. It’s all a bit redundant, but it does affect the aesthetics. The camera module is flanked by LED rings that can light up as you play.

What Is the POCO F3 GT good for gaming?

As you might imagine, the MediaTek 1200 driven everyday performance is no problem for the POCO F3 GT. The app is sleek and fluid, with smooth transitions throughout. But since this is a gaming phone, we have to make it a little more difficult. I tried Call of Duty: Mobile and my favorite mobile his game Real Flight Simulator a few times. The chipset is warm to the touch, but unlike the OnePlus Nord 2, it never got uncomfortably hot. It’s clear that POCO effectively tweaked the thermals to cool the chip just right, and that’s been shown in multiple plays.

Conclusion

If you’re in the market for a new flagship phone, the POCO F3 GT is definitely worth considering. Not only is it one of the most powerful phones on the market, but it also comes with some great features that will make your life a lot easier. In this POCO F3 GT review, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about this phone before making a decision. So jump on over and read on to find out more!
