This move accelerated the rebirth of the national emblem under its new owners, the Tata Group, as the United States and Europe recognized the strengthening of India’s political and economic ties. According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Biden expressed satisfaction at the deepening of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which has resulted in robust growth in all domains.” As a shining example of mutually beneficial cooperation that will aid in the creation of new employment opportunities in both countries, they applauded the announcement of a historic agreement between Boeing and Air India. It added, “Prime Minister invited Boeing and other US companies to take advantage of the opportunities presented by India’s expanding civil aviation sector.”

- A “historic agreement” for Air India to acquire Boeing aircraft was praised by Joe Biden. Earlier, President Emmanuel Macron of France praised the Airbus-Tata Sons contract and stated that it marked a new phase in the strategic partnership between India and France.
- Air India has chosen up to 290 Boeing jets to support its strategy for sustainable growth, according to a statement from Boeing. It stated that 190 737 MAX, 20 787 Dreamliner, and 10 777X aircraft had been selected by Air India. Boeing and Air India have agreed to offer options for 50 more 737 MAXs and 20 more 787-9s.
- According to Boing, this will be the largest Boeing order it has ever placed in South Asia and a significant turning point in the aerospace company’s nearly ninety-year partnership with Air India.
- In a White House statement, Biden said that Air India and Boeing’s agreement to purchase over 200 American-made aircraft demonstrates the strength of the US-India economic partnership.
- Biden stated that he and Modi are looking forward to further strengthening their partnership.
- “In manufacturing, the United States can and will be the world leader. I am pleased to announce today that Air India and Boeing have reached a landmark agreement to acquire more than 200 aircraft made in the United States. This buy will uphold more than 1,000,000 American positions across 44 states, and many won’t need a four-year higher education,” the assertion said.
