The entire plot of Pippa is based on real true events from the 1971 Indo-Pak War. It is a biopic about Brigadier Bal Ram Singh Mehta of the forty fifth Cavalry Tank Squadron of the Indian Army, who fought with Pakistan in 1971.
This war movie is based on India’s success over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to the creation of a free Bangladesh. It was a historic win as the 93000 Pakistani soldiers led by the then Major General of Pakistan army Amir Abdullah Khan Nazi surrendered to joint forces of Indian Army and Bangladesh’s Mukti Bahini.
