Pakistan Tour of Sri Lanka 2023 Detail, Schedule, Squads Pakistan & Sri Lanka

Pakistan Tour of Sri Lanka – The recently revealed FTP indicates that the 12 full members of the ICC will play more cricket. In the four-year period, Pakistan is slated to play 238 days of international cricket. The new ICC FTP Cycle was thoughtfully created to address the exponential growth observed in all-formats of the game, has earned the utmost approval from Sri Lanka Cricket. We are pleased with the amount of bilateral series our team has lined up for the upcoming cycle, which will include matches in the Test, ODI, and T20I game formats.

The first Test match in the series will be played from July 16 to July 20 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium, and the second Test match will be played from July 24 to July 28 at the R. Premed’s International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. For Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2022, a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series were originally scheduled.

Pakistan Tour of Sri Lanka 2023

The bulk of Test matches under the FTP are linked to the ICC World Test Championship, which gives each tour, game, and member nation playing bilateral cricket significance. In June and July 2023, the Pakistan cricket team will visit Sri Lanka to play two Test matches against the Sri Lankan cricket team. The ICC World Test Championship, which runs from 2023 to 2025, will include the test matches played in the series. In a press release, the International Cricket Council announced that Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play two tests in June and July 2023.

Details indicate that the FTP 2023 to 2027 is nearly complete. In a recent announcement, PCB Chief Executive Faisal Hossain added that the FTP is 80% complete. In-depth discussion on this will take place between July 25 and 26 in Birmingham at the ICC summit of member nations. Out of Pakistan’s 27 series, 12 will be contested at home and 15 will be international visits. There are three scheduled series versus Bangladesh and England. Along with one against the Netherlands, there were two series against South Africa, Afghanistan, the West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and New Zealand. No series are associated with India.
