NTSE 2024 – National Talent Search Exam (NTSE), initially known as NSTSS (National Science Talent Search Scheme), is a scholarship test that takes place on a national level to identify and enhance the skills, logical reasoning, and mental-ability of the applicants. The all-India competitive examination is taked annually for class 10 applicants in two stages – Stage 1 (State-Level) & Stage 2 (National Level). If an aspirants wants to be eligible to receive the scholarship, he/she will have to clear both exams.
A scholarship exam for students in grades ten and eleven, the National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) is held every year. Every year, NCERT organizes a competition to identify and train exceptional students studying science. NTSE scholarships will be awarded to candidates who pass the NTSE examination at both state and national levels throughout their academic career. Students may get the NTSE 2024 application from their schools and the Liaison’s office. NTSE 2024
Applicants have the leverage to apply both online and offline for the NTSE test. Applicants residing in India as well as those who are pursuing their education from other countries are also eligible for NTSE. The main objective of the National Talent Search Exam is to evaluate a particular set of abilities in applicants. The SCERT or same state departments conduct the Stage 1 examination, whereas Stage 2 is conducted at a national level by NCERT. Applicants who qualify for Stage first can appear for the Stage second exam.
The NTSE exam comprises of 2 papers – Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) & Mental Ability Test (MAT). They both have 100 questions of 1 mark each and applicants get two hours for each paper. Out of all, 2000 aspirants are shortlisted and awarded monthly scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria of NTSE 2024
The National Technology Scholarship Examination (NTSE) is an annual examination that helps eligible students pursue degrees in technology-based courses. The exam is sanctioned by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a requirement for admission into several undergraduate technology courses in Indian universities. This year, the exam will be held on May 24, 23, and 22, and the notification for the same has been released. Here is a list of the eligibility criteria for the exam.

NTSE Eligibility Criteria For Regular Students
- The students must be below 18 years as of 2024.
- The students should be pursuing class 10 from any government/private school located in India.
NTSE Eligibility Criteria For Open and Distance Learning applicants
Applicants pursuing their 10th from open or distance learning can also attempt NTSE under these conditions:
- The applicants must be under 2024.
- Appplicant should be a full-time student without any kind of employment.
- The aspirants should be appearing for the class 10th examination for the first time.

Eligibility Criteria For National Talent Search Exam for Applicants Studying Abroad
Indian residents who are studying abroad can also attempt the National Talent Search Exam under these conditions:
- The applicant must be an Indian National.
- If the aspirant is pursuing class 10th or equivalent, then he/she is directly eligible for Stage 2.
- The applicant should have scored a minimum of 60% in class IX final exams.
- The applicant must opt for an examination center located in India.
- Must make a request with the institution he/she is studying at along with the attested class IX mark sheet at the Authority of Educational Survey Division, NCERT.
- The applicant is eligible for the scholarship only if he/she continues his/her further studies from India.

Exam Structure of NTSE
- The exam paper is divided into 2 parts – SAT & MAT. There are 100 paper questions in both SAT & MAT (Maths – 20, Science – 40, Social Science – 40).
- The duration of both MAT & SAT is two hours.
- There is no negative marking. Applicants who qualify in both exams will be considered separately for merit.
- The selection of the applicant who is eligible for the scholarship will be on the basis of his/her total marks in MAT & SAT.
