NMMS Exam – Every year, students in the eighth grade will take the NMMS Exam 2024 in order to apply for scholarships through the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme. NMMS stands for the National Means-Merit Scholarship Examination, and NMMS refers to the National Means-Merit Scholarship Scheme.
It is proposed to award 1,00,000 scholarships to gifted or meritorious students whose parents’ annual income is no more than Rs. This is a centrally sponsored NMMS scheme. 3,50,000 per year from every source. Students enrolled as regular IX students in government, local body, and government-aided schools will receive this scholarship quarterly.
NMMS Exam 2024
For a maximum of four years, the scholarships will be paid from class IX to class XII. The National Means-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) Examination Notification for Class VII was released in August by the Director of Government Examinations Board in both Andhra Pradesh State and Telangana State. For the purpose of awarding the NMMS Scholarship, the eligible students are invited to submit applications.

Eligibility for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship
A candidate who has been promoted to Class VIII for the upcoming academic year and has scored at least 55% on the class VII examination. In regard of SC/ST applicants, they ought to have gotten something like half or comparable grade i.e., B+ grade for all classifications. Only candidates who are enrolled in a government, municipal, or privately funded high school are eligible to take the test. Students whose parents earn less than Rs. Anyone earning at least 3,50,000 rupees from any source is eligible to take the exam. An original income certificate from a Mandal Revenue Officer must be presented as proof of income; a salary certificate from a government employee will suffice as proof of income.
Students in the eighth grade who attend AP/Telangana Residential High Schools, AP/Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools, AP/Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Schools, Government Ashram High Schools, Kasturba Residential Schools, Model schools with residential facilities, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Kendriya Vidyalayas, or Private Unaided Schools are ineligible to take the exams. The candidate must also present the Headmaster with the original caste certificate that was issued by the MRO. The candidate must also provide the Headmaster with the original VII class Pass Memo of Marks.
