Maruti WagonR Electric Car- The Maruti Waggon R EV was confirmed during the carmaker’s EV showcase. The Waggon R EV would be one of six electric vehicles. It will not be Maruti’s first EV, but it will be the company’s first mass-market electric vehicle in India.
The details have yet to be disclosed, but we estimate the Waggon R EV to have a range of around 200 kilometres on a single charge, on par with its competitors. Maruti Suzuki is likely to price the Waggon R EV in line with its main rivals.
Maruti WagonR Electric Car 2025
The Maruti WagonR EV is expected to have a new design featuring projector headlamps, a new radiator grille with chrome surrounds, and body-colored bumpers. It will also have a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, motorised ORVMs, and automated climate control.
The electric motor is planned to reach 50 kW, ensuring a smooth driving experience. The Maruti WagonR EV is planned to seat five passengers and feature a 341-litre cargo area. It will compete with other electric vehicles in the same price range, including the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3.
