Levon’s Trade Movie- Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the theatrical rights to Levon’s Trade in the United States, while Prime Video will have streaming rights in other overseas territories. The picture, directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad), will feature Jason Statham (Fast & Furious franchise) and be produced by Black Bear and BlockFilm, as previously announced.
The screenplay was developed by Sylvester Stallone (Creed) and revised by Ayer. It is based on the first novel in the “Levon” series by prolific comic author Chuck Dixon.

Shooting for the film begins in London this spring. The picture arrives two days after “Road House” director Doug Liman blasted the studio for giving his Jake Gyllenhaal-starring remake of the Patrick Swayze ’80s movie a streaming-only release (it will premiere at SXSW). Liman wrote an op-ed for Deadline: “Amazon asked me and the film community to trust them and their public statements about supporting cinemas, and then they turned around and are using ‘Road House’ to sell plumbing fixtures.”
