KTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Category I: Lower Primary Teacher- Classes I to V

• Secondary / Higher is Secondary or equivalent with 45% marks with two years Trained Teacher Certificate by TTC Examination Board.
• Candidates must have at least 45% marks with 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulation 2002.
• Candidates must have at least 50% marks with Diploma in Education.

For Category II: Upper Primary Teacher Class VI to VIII

• BA/B.Com/BSc- 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education/TTC with 45% Marks
• BA/B.Com/BSc with 45% marks and must have 1-year B.Ed.
• Secondary / Higher Secondary with 50% marks and 4 years of BEIEd (Bachelor of Elementary Education)
• Secondary / Higher Secondary with 50% marks and 4 years of BA / B.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed

For Category III: High School Teacher Class VIII to X

• BA/B.Com/B.Sc with 45% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized university.
• BA or equivalent with 45% marks and passed in LTTC
• To apply in Zoology, Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics, and Physics, the candidate must have 50% marks from a regional institution graded by NCERT.
• For Zoology and Botany, candidates should have not less than 50% MSc.Ed qualification in Life Science course.

For Category IV:

• Those who have qualified for the posts of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu language teachers (up to upper primary level), specialist teachers, and physical education teachers listed in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act and Rules are also eligible as applicable.

Steps to fill the KTET 2025 Application Form

• Visit the official website of KTET at ktet.kerala.gov.in
• On the homepage, click on “New Registration”
• Fill in all the personal details in KTET Application Form 2025.
• Now, upload the scanned copy of the passport size color photograph of the candidate in JPEG as per the specification.
• Then after reviewing the given details click on save and submit the form.
• Finally, pay the application fee online through Debit Card/ Credit Card or Net Banking.
