Early Life
Chiranjeevi was born as Konidela Sivasankara Varaprasad Rao on August 22, 1955, into a Telugu family in Mogalthur, West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. His father, Konidela Venkata Rao, worked as a constable and faced frequent transfers, leading Chiranjeevi to spend much of his childhood in his native village with his grandparents.
He attended several schools in Nidadavolu, Gurazala, Bapatla, Ponnur, Mangalagiri, and Mogalthur. As an NCC cadet, he participated in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi during the early 1970s. Chiranjeevi developed an interest in acting from a young age and completed his Intermediate education at C. S. R. Sarma College in Ongole. After earning a degree in commerce from Sri Y N College in Narsapuram, he moved to Chennai in 1976 to enroll in the Madras Film Institute to pursue his acting career.
