Career
Karishma Kapoor won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance in the 2000 drama Refugee alongside Abhishek Bachchan. She started working on the movie Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000) before making her acting debut in Refugee (2000). However, she left the movie because of some misunderstandings. She then co-starred with Tusshar Kapoor in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. Kapoor rose to prominence thanks to Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
