On July 16, 2025, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) released the entire schedule for the JNVST 2025 entrance exam. The NVS Class 6 entrance online application form is active from July 16 until October 7, 2025. The JNVST 2025 exam date is January 18, 2025. JNVST Class 6 Exam Date 2025

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has announced the exam date for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2025 for Class 6. Individuals should be aware that the exam will be administered on January 18, 2025 for Phase I and April 12, 2025 for Phase II from 11:30 a.m. to 01:30 p.m., with a total exam time of three hours. Candidates should be aware that on exam day, they must report to the relevant exam center by 10:30 a.m. with a photo identification card and a physical copy of their hall ticket.

Required Documents

1. Date of Birth Certificate- A copy of the birth certificate issued by the relevant government authority.
2. Proof of eligibility as per NVS criteria.
3. For candidates seeking admission under the rural quota, parents must also submit a document from the relevant authority indicating that their kid completed classes III, IV, and V in a rural institution/school.
4. Residence Certificate:  The genuine residency proof (as notified by the Government of India) of the parent from the same district where the JNV is located and the candidate has studied class V must be provided.
5. To apply for admission under the Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme, provisionally selected candidates must produce a copy of their Aadhaar card, as required by section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016..
6. Certificate issued by the school’s Head Master regarding study specifics for classes III, IV, and V.
7. Medical fitness certificate.
8. Undertaking for Migration.
9. Disability certificate (if applicable)

Exam Pattern 2025

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will hold the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2025 for Class 6 in offline mode with an exam time limit of 02 hours and a total of 80 multiple-choice questions of 100 marks from different sections:

• Mental Ability Test: 40 questions, 50 marks, 60 minutes
• Arithmetic Test: 20 questions, 25 marks, 30 minutes
• Language Test: 20 questions, 25 marks, 30 minutes

Each question will be worth 1.25 points, with no points deducted for incorrect answers. The exam will be conducted in English as well as regional languages.
