JEE Advanced Counselling Process 2020 – JoSAA {Joint Seat Allocation Authority } is the responsible authority for the conducting counselling and seat allotment of JEE Advanced 2020. Counselling Process will start from 8 Oct 2020. Counselling will be done through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Interested and eligible candidates who have cleared JEE Main or will pass the JEE Advanced exams will able to register at josaa.nic.in.

Registered candidates can change their choice of exam cities on jeeadv.ac.in between 12 pm (16 Sept) to 5 pm on 17 September (Thursday). Many aspirants of the Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced (JEE-Adv) are worried that they may not be able to reach their test centres, as they have been allocated centres that are too far away

JEE 2020 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

  1. To take part in the JEE Advanced 2020 Counselling, it is compulsory for the students to get the qualified rank.
  2. Students are required to score at least 75% marks in class 12th or equivalent exam. For Applicants belonging to SC/ST, PwD category, 65% marks in 12th standard are compulsory.
  3. Students should remain in the top 20 percentile by category in the 12th class exam.
  4. If educational boards only offer grades in marksheet. So, the candidates are required to produce a letter from the board for calculating the aggregate marks. Else, the decision in such matters will be taken by the Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced 2020.

JEE Advanced 2020  Seat Allotment Process

The detailed JEE Advanced 2020 counselling process will help the students right from the beginning till the culmination of the counselling process for JEE Advanced 2020. So the step-wise counselling process for JEE Advanced 2020 are as follows:

Step 1 – Registration for JoSAA 2020 Counselling

JoSAA will start the registration process for JEE Advanced 2020 counselling and seat allotment online @ josaa.nic.in. For Registration applicants need to use their JEE Main 2020 roll number and JEE Advanced 2020 password, the candidates will have to log in through the official website. After logging in, their previously filled details will be displayed which has to be checked and confirmed.

Step 2 – Filling and Locking of Choice

Once the applicants have successfully registered themselves for the JEE Advanced 2020 counselling, they will require to proceed for the filling up the options in the given space. The applicanst can change their choices before the final submission. The Srudents will have the chance of selecting 50 choices during the online choice locking process.

Step 3 – Seat Allotment

Applicants will able to check the mock allotment to know their probable allotment as per the choices they submit. If they wish to make any changes, the candidates will allow to for a limited period of time.

JoSAA allots the seats on the basis of-

Step 4- Reporting at Centres

Applicants will able to check the rank list of JEE Advanced 2020 online.
