Inspire Scholarship 2024 for Higher Education (SHE) is a scholarship programme implemented by the Authority of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. About Inspire Scholarship 2024
The Authority of Science and Technology launched an innovation in the Science pursuit for inspired research (INSPIRE) scholarship scheme on 13th November 2008 at a total cost of 1979.25 crores. Through this plan, the government offers scholarships of Rs 80000 to 10000 applicants every year for five years until the completion of the course whichever is less. Through this scheme all those applicants who want to pursue their education in the science stream but because of their economic status are unable to do so, are provided financial assistance. Inspire Reward 2024 is one of the components of the inspire scheme.
The inspiring scheme has three components which are plans for the early attraction of talent, scholarships for higher education, and opportunities for research careers. The government offers many types of awards, internships, scholarships, and fellowships through this plan so that each and every student can get the opportunity to pursue higher education.
Economic Incentives Under Inspire Scholarship
The Authority is going to offer a total scholarship of Rs 80000 per annum under the Inspire Scholarship Scheme. Every aspirant will receive an yearly scholarship of Rs 5000 per month with a total value of Rs 60000. All The scholars are need to undergo a summer research project which will be carried out under an active researcher in a recognized research Centre across India. For this purpose, a summertime attachment fee of Rs 20000 will be paid as mentorship each year. The scholar is need to submit the project report and the certificate from the mentor after completing the project within the stipulated time

Eligibility Criteria Of Inspire Scholarship
- Student must be permanent resident of India
- The age of student should be 17 to 22 years
- Applicant must be pursuing their education from recognized University
- All the applicants with aggregate marks within top 1% of their class 12th examination of state or Central board in India eligible
- The applicant must be pursuing courses in natural and basic sciences at the BSc, BS and integrated MSc/MS Level
- All the applicant who have secured rank in JEE of IIT, AIPMT( within top 10000 ranks) and are presently pursuing natural basic sciences course in India are eligible to apply
- Those applicant who have secured top 1% aggregate marks in class 12th examination of state or Central board in India and are pursuing MS courses in natural and basic sciences at IISER, NISER and Authority of atomic energy Centre for basic sciences, University of Mumbai, visva Bharati, Shantiniketan can also apply
- All those applicants who are selected under Kishore vaigyanik protsahan Yojana and are pursuing bachelor’s or master’s level courses in natural sciences can also apply
- Those applicants who are scholars of National talent search examination, Jagdish Bose National Science talent, and international Olympiad medalist and are pursuing bachelor or masters level courses in natural sciences can also apply
