Indian Constitution Day- The Ministry of Law and Justice and the Indian Law Institute will celebrate Constitution Day on November 26, 2025, at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.This day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution by the people of India in 1949.
Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, India’s Vice President, will be the Chief Guest and will deliver the keynote presentation in the plenary session during the celebration. The first prize winner in the debate will receive Rs. 50,000, the second will receive Rs. 30,000, and the third will receive Rs. 20,000 as an award.

As part of this year’s festivities, a national-level transformative colloquium with five technical presentations is set from 2 PM to 4 PM. This will allow legal luminaries, policymakers, and academics, among others, to discuss the reformative needs of our laws, with an emphasis on the Vision @ 2047.
In addition, two publications will be released: ‘A Guide to Alternative Dispute Resolution’ and ‘Perspectives on Constitution and Development’. On the eve of Constitution Day, the Ministry and Indian Law Institute will host a debate on “Limits to Liberty – Fundamental Rights vs Fundamental Duties” for National Law University students.
