Candidates who qualify for the prelims will appear for the main exam, which is both objective and subjective in nature. There is a total of 5 papers in the HCS main exam. The first three papers are compulsory and for Paper-4 and 5 candidates can choose their subjects. The final selection is done on the basis of total marks obtained out of a total of 675 marks. HPSC Haryana Civil Services Exam is based on the lines of UPSC. The exam is conducted in offline mode. The HCS exam consists of 3 stages for the final selection process i.e. Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Prelims consist of 2 papers of 100 questions each. The papers are of objective nature.
The provisional selection of candidates will be based on Paper-I (General Studies) provided the candidate has to obtain at least 33% marks in Paper-II (CSAT). HPSC HCS Prelims Cut Off Marks 2022
Candidates who are appearing in any competitive exam for the first time and are not aware of the concept of cut-off must learn the basics.
