Sony will be releasing Spyglass’ horror romantic comedy Heart Eyes on February 7, 2025, the studio said Wednesday. The only other wide entry scheduled on February 7 so far is Universal’s Ke Huy Quan action movie With Love. Both titles are opening a week ahead of Disney/Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World and Paramount’s Smurfs animated movie.

Story

Olivia Holt (Totally Killer, Cruel Summer) and Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin in the two most recent Scream films) will play coworkers in Seattle who work late on Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, the Heart Eyes Killer, a serial killer who hunts out and massacres lovebirds, misidentifies them as a couple. If they are to survive until February 15, they must rely on one another and flee for their lives. The film also features Gigi Zumbado (Bridge and Tunnel), Devon Sawa (Chucky), and Jordana Brewster (The Fast and Furious trilogy).

Heart Eyes currently has only one competition on February 7: With Love, an action thriller starring Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose. The following week brings Valentine’s Day and a packed slate of films that Hollywood hopes moviegoers will fall in love with.
