FIH Indoor Hockey Men’s World Cup South Africa 2024 Pool Standings
The competition, which was originally scheduled to take place in February 2022 but was postponed due to COVID-related issues, featured 24 teams, with the exception of Australia and New Zealand. Australia will take the place of Russia (Men) at the 2024 Olympics due to the fact that the FIH has denied the participation of these two teams based on the current guidance provided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Germany, which qualified for both genders but chose not to participate, will be replaced by New Zealand. Shaune Baaitjies, acting CEO of the South African Hockey Association, said: We can’t wait to welcome our visitors to our beautiful country, where we promise to deliver a spectacular event, and the South African Hockey family is so excited about yet another first for SA Hockey. We can’t wait to add the FIH Hockey Indoor World Cup to this incredible catalog as a nation with a proud history of hosting historic international events!
