 Ejanma Karnataka Portal Birth and Death Registration, Certificate Online – Ejanma is a web-based application implemented by the Government of Karnataka in 2014, which addresses the need for online registration and recording of births, deaths, and still deaths occurring in the state. It was launched to record all the data of birth and death registration in digital form and provide the same information to the public. As per the Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD) Act, 1969, registration of births and deaths is mandatory in every State/Union Territory of India. Apart from this, states also have their own rules for registration and issuance of birth and death certificates which are also to be followed. When we talk about Karnataka, this process of citizen registration is done in the state as per the RBD Act, 1969 and Karnataka Birth and Death Rules, 1999.

To make the registration process digital and convenient, Ejanma Karnakata was launched by the Karnataka State Government. Ejanma Karnataka is an online portal of the Government of Karnataka that provides information about all digitally registered births, deaths, and stillbirths in the state of Karnataka. Citizens can register births and deaths through this portal and obtain relevant certificates. Managed by Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Govt. Of Karnataka, Ejanma is one of the key factors that ensure quality in the birth and death statistics of the state.

eJanma is a web portal that can be used by the operators/officers to feed the information into the portal as well as to collect the information by the public. However, the online registration options on the portal like login and related functions are available only to the operators/concerned registrar. Citizens can only check application status, reports, registration details, birth/death verification, and other information that does not require login.

Both urban and rural areas of Karnataka have different mechanisms for registering these important events (births and deaths). However, in the end, the registration data is uploaded on the Ejanma Portal by the registrar in both regions. Ejanma Registration For Citizens

• Open the Karnataka Ejanma Portal ejanma.karnataka.gov.in.
• On the homepage of the portal, click on “Registration Details”.
• Now, the registration details of all the registered events will open.
• One can check the total number of registrations, approvals for a particular period.
• Citizens can click on the option of Month or Year as per their choice to check the registration details.
• On the same page, if citizens want to check the certificate details, they can click on the respective link.
• Certificate details will open on the screen.
