Coal India MT Posts Educational Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following educational requirements.

• Mining Engineering: Degree in Mining Engineering with at least 60% marks.
• Civil Engineering: Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant branch with 60% marks.
• Electrical Engineering: Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 60% marks.
• Mechanical Engineering: Degree in Mechanical or allied fields with 60% marks.
• Systems: First-class degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or MCA.
• Electronics & Telecommunication: BE/B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields with 60% marks.

Note: Candidates in their last semester of 2023-24 are eligible if they meet academic standards before document verification. For reserved categories (SC/ST/PwBD), the minimum qualifying mark is 55%.

Management Trainee Age Limit

The upper age restriction for applying to Coal India MT Recruitment is 30 years as of September 30, 2025. There would be a relaxation period for reserved categories, such as three years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), five years for SC/ST categories, and others.

Registration Fee

The SC/ST/PwBD/Employees of CIL and its subsidiaries are exempt from paying any fees. Candidates from General/OBC/EWS categories must pay an application fee of ₹1000/- + GST of ₹180/-. The application fee is nonrefundable and must be paid via the online portal.

• Merit List: Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio according to discipline and category.
• Document Verification (DV) and Medical Exam (IME): Selected candidates will undergo document verification and an initial medical examination in accordance with CIL standards.
• Final Selection: Offers will be given following the successful completion of the DV and medical examination.

Coal India MT Salary 2025

Those who successfully complete the selection procedure for Coal India MT Recruitment 2025 are given a one-year probation period. During this probation period, chosen candidates will be assigned to E-2 grade Management Trainee positions with a monthly salary of Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 1,60,000/-.

Following the probationary period, candidates are hired for regular job terms in the E-3 grade of Management Trainee positions. They are paid a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 1,80,000/-, which includes Dearness Allowance, HRA, Medical Facilities, Performance Related Pay, Gratuity, and other benefits.
